The first photo is of a Christmas scene in front of a mall. I saw this on my daily walk. There is a good Ice Cream outlet inside!.
While out of sequence, this is my flight being de-iced at Vancouver on November 30. The pilot told us that the rules require this, even when it is sunny, but the temperature is below a certain point. I believe it was seven degrees this day as we departed.
This is a photo of the seat back tv screen, on the flight from Vancouver to Korea. Since I do care to watch movies, or play games, I monitor the flight progress. As I found out on the next flight, this practice drives some people a bit nuts, as they just cannot bear to not be watching some action.....when their set is not working, or, they do not know how to work it.
The next photo is of a mall escalator, looking down. An exercise in perspective.
One sees these facilities in many places in Asia, but usually in malls. The tanks are filled with water and a lot of small fish. The fish clean the dry skin from the feet and legs. While I did not try it, I am told that one does not feel the fish at work.
It may alarm some to see, or know that sometimes, the towels and sheets are folded on the floor for neatness. The floors are clean, no!!!!!
A lunch any vegetarian would not refuse.
These coconuts set here for hours on end....some days. Best to leave them where they are, unless you are a local.
Something went wrong with the next two photos, one of a sidewalk parked with vehicles, and a Christmas tree. I do not know why they came out large format. Will repost with next blog page.
The last photo is of a mobile night vendor. He has a load of dresses, and is heading down to the beach about seven in the evening. Apparently, a lot of people buy these wares at night, change in a wash room, and go dancing!.
My next posting will probably be on Sunday evening, January 24.
