For some reason, I cannot print on the pages of the photos, so will do a page to explain.
The Reindeer are located in a mall in Pattaya south of Bangkok on the beach. Throughout Asia, tourists are not far from reminders of home, although there is no hint of the commercialization that takes place in North America and Europe.
The dog is cooling in front of the fan, his master is cooking below.
This photo is a display of what is available for lunch. Do not buy unless you see it cooked...it may have been cooked five hours ago.
This hotel looks like a cruise ship.
Three photos of Pattaya beach, not unlike many Caribbean beaches.
The little fish in the tank clean the loose skin from your legs and feet.
The King of Thailand was 89 in December...this celebrates that event. The King spends most of his time in a hospital ward.
These green yards are at the Bangkok airport.
This temple is in Khon Kaen, as is the hotel. This is the setting where I had my VISA card problem...and the Swensen's ice cream.
On the next page, is a photo of Ai, and I. I have not advertised this, but I had been helping this family with a few dollars a month, to see two boys through university. We had never met, until arranged at the university here. The next photo is of Ai and his mother. I do not know the last name.
Another temple.
Poinsetta's grow all over Thailand.
This christmas tree at a mall is hollow inside. Nice and cool
Nice flowers like these are everywhere. Hard to believe it is just a few days before christmas.
This salad bar is in a mall food court, not unlike here at home.
The other photos are in my hotel lobby and around the hotel.
The final picture is of the mighty Mekong River, between Laos and Thailand. In my next posting, we will see photos of this city...Nong Khai, on the Mekong, and the home of Rose whom I talked about earlier.
